There are always lots of wonderful hotels in any place and we don’t want to limit from exploring according to your budget and tastes. Paracas – Amazing Hotels on Peru’s Southern Coast
Hotel Paracas, a Luxury Collection Resort
From the moment we walked through the doors of the impressive foyer and out to the beach we loved this hotel; certainly, it is a 5-star hotel, but it was the luxurious break that we needed after a long trip from Australia. With heated pools, a kids club, white beach, and its own jetty, we were hooked! Check here for the current rates and more information.

Huacachina
Hotel Mossone
We have had friends stay here – there is an old fashioned courtyard and a great atmosphere. From outside the red color, and arches are attractive and this kind of place feels typically Peruvian.
It is also is one of the few places in Huacachina that has a pool (an outdoor, unheated one). That’s enough to put this place on our list! Plus, its location right on the Oasis of Huacachina makes it pretty special! Check here for current rates and more information.
Ica
Hotel Vinas Queirolo
This is Peru’s first hotel in a vineyard. Though purpose-built, it’s wonderfully atmospheric with views of the vines all around. The hotel has been carefully and thoughtfully built, as to evoke an old-world feeling.
This place has loads of activities for children including bike riding, a trampoline, and an outdoor pool. Though truth be told, they had the most fun playing in the fountain at the front. For the adults, winemaking tours are a win! Check here for currents rates and for more information.
Chincha
Casa Hacienda San Jose
This elegant hotel is a destination in its own right and could be included in your South Coast foray or perhaps as a weekend getaway from Lima. Hacienda San Jose had one of the best playgrounds in all of Peru (that we saw), a Musica Criolla dance show, big gardens to play in and tours of the historical site for the adults.
If all that was not enough, they also had a fantastic pool which would be wonderful for the blue skies and warmth of the Peruvian coastal Summer (December – February). Check here for current rates and more information.

Nazca (and of course the famous Nazca lines!) are another 3 hours south of Ica, and we didn’t visit during this particular trip!
