A Breed Of Hairless Dog Exists In Peru

Kangaroos cannot walk backward.  That’s because they hop, balancing on their tail.  Not only that, but there are also tree kangaroos that live in trees!  Two of these species live in Australia – with more living in nearby New Guinea.

A lot of non-Australians call them koala bears but they are actually not bears at all.  They are a marsupial with a pouch.  This pouch is where the newborns, known as “joeys”, are born and live and grow.

What Is The Most Photographed Place In Australia

Well, you might be thinking it is the amazing beaches are cute and interesting animals, good guess.  However, the most photographed place in all of Australia is the Sydney Opera House.  This iconic building is an international icon with roughly 11 million visitors a year!  That is lots of people … and lots of pictures!

What Country Has The Iguana As It’s National Animal

If you guessed Fiji then you would be right.  Officially the national animal of Fiji is the Fiji Banded Iguana.  Did you know also know that this particular species of iguana is arboreal? What does that mean?  Well, it means that it spends nearly all of its life in trees.  Pretty cool if you ask us.
